CG's Fans and Lighting Brands have been accredited with the 'Superbrand' status. CG has the largest number of 5-Star energy efficient rated products in this segment in India, certified by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, a Government of India agency. CG is the largest manufacturer of fans in India, with offerings for all sections of the market and various applications - domestic or industrial . Although predominantly India centric, CG is a leading fan exporter to countries like USA, Italy, South Africa, Ghana, Fiji, Singapore, Bahrain, UAE, Sri Lanka, UK, France, Oman, Sudan, etc.
The lighting business has an illustrious history of over 130 years originating with the installation of the Crompton Dynamo for lighting; the first fully electrically lit house in Colchester in 1878. The Lighting business comprises two segments – Light Sources with a wide range of GLS, FTL and CFL and many high end light source products and Luminaires – a large variety of both internal as well as external Luminaires for commercial and home applications; and is now poised as a solutions provider offering total lighting solutions for large projects as well as lighting advisory services for industries. CG has collaborated with Lemnis Lighting of the Netherlands to manufacture LED-based lights. CG's proudest achievement to be the first in India to indigenously provide a highly energy efficient light emitting diode (LED) lamp of 5 watts having an average life of 50,000 burning hours, and the complete elimination of mercury.
In outdoor and sports lighting, CG has joined hands with Fael Luce of Italy, for providing integrated lighting solutions for outdoor and stadium lighting.
The Integrated Security Systems and Home Automation Business of CG offers a complete portfolio of monitoring and surveillance equipment, digital video capture, real-time viewing, remote monitoring, management and recording, as well as archival retrieval. CGs' partnership with Comelit, a pioneering global player in this field provides integrated security solutions, for the discerning Indian consumer.
