CG Electric Systems Hungary (formerly Ganz - manufacturer of the world's first transformer in 1885) is a high technology company with a strong reputation for global engineering capabilities in the area of power transformers, GIS switchgear and rotating machines, turnkey projects and solutions for HV Substations and Power Engineering. At present, the Company has over 800 employees and operations in three locations in Hungary: Budapest, Tapioszele and Szolnok.
In 2006, CG aquired the Ganz Group Since then, the Hungarian entity forms an integral part of the Power Systems Strategic Business Unit of CG.
Main activity areas are :
Production (in Tápiószele) � high voltage transformers, SF6 gas insulated high-voltage switchgears, high-voltage transmission and distribution systems, conventional isolating switches, sectioner gears, high-voltage asynchronous and traction motors, generators.
Production (in Szolnok) – steel structures for both internal and external use.
Transmission and Distribution Systems - main contracting and subcontracting, turn-key implementations (with the organisation of financing, if required) in the fields of power transmission and distribution.
Assembly / Services - contracting of assembly works, service and renovation related to certain products retrofit and maintenance of Power Plants, Substations and Industrial Electrical Systems.
765 kV ultra voltage transformer delivered to PGCIL (India National Grid) in August 2010.
CG Electric Hungary is certified to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards and ISO 14001:1996 environment standards.
