CG is the first to introduce ‘Q’ Series metal to carbon plug-in-relay in collaboration with Westinghouse UK for Indian Railways. We are the pioneer in the manufacturing of electro mechanical relays with metal to carbon (Q - Type Signalling Relays).

Metal to carbon relays are used in Signalling applications in Railways for Route Relay Interlocking, Electronic Interlocking,  Point operation, Track circuiting. Specification compliance of British Railway Specification (BRS) & Indian Railway Spec (IRS).

    • All movable contacts are rigidly coupled to ensure simultaneous making and breaking of “NO” and “NC” contacts respectively.
    • Contacts are designed to have “Self Cleaning” features.
    • Unless code pin are correctly engaged no electrical connection between the relay and the plug board connector is possible.
    • Standard plug boards are used for each type of relays for mounting.
    • Relays are provided with registration devices with specified coding combination to prevent plugging in wrong relay.
    • Facilities are available for terminating the wiring on plug board connectors both by crimping or soldering.
