4 Decades of Innovation.

CG Railways business started its operations in the year 1982 from their Nashik Plant for Track Maintainance, Signaling production and since then, the company has been contributing to the Railway Electrification.

1982
The Beginning

Started - Rail Product Division. Nashik rail track maintenance, railway signaling product, railway electrification in 1982 and stamping in 1986.

1988
Electromechanical Relays

First to develop Electromechanical Relays. Started new factory at Pithampur, Indore (MP). Unit shifted from Nashik to Pithampur.

1989
Aluminium Foil Transformer

First in India - Aluminum foil 5400KVA Transformer from T1 Kanjur, Mumbai.

1991
Track Side Transformer

First Track Side 21.5 MVA Transformer in India. T1-Kanjur.

1992
Traction Motors

First TAO659 Traction Motors supplied for WAG5, WAM4 locomotive application from LMD Kanjur.

1993
Point Machine

Developed and supplied the first Point Machine in India. RSD Pithampur.

1994
Mandideep Manufacturing Plant

Traction Motor Plant inaugurated at Mandideep (TMS).

1995
Traction Motors HS15250A

Second to develop Traction Motors HS15250A in India, 630 kW. Use in 4000HP & 5000 HP, 25kV AC locomotive (TMS Mandideep).

1997
Traction Motors for 160KMPH

First Traction Motors for 160KMPH in India. Type TM7362 - 290 kW for use in 3100 HP Diesel Locomotive (TMS Mandideep).

1998
00Phase Traction Motor

3 phase Loco TOT First to develop Three Phase Traction Motors Type TM6FRA6068 in India 850 kW, for 6000 HP, AC Co-Co Locomotive (TMS Mandideep).

1999
DEMU

Second to develop Propulsion System of 700 HP Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) in India (TMS Mandideep). First to develop Three Phase Traction Motors Type TM6FXA7059 in India at 1150 Kw for 6000 HP AC Bo-Bo Locomotive (TMS Mandideep).

2000
Propulsion System and Data Loggers

Second to develop Propulsion System of 700 HP Diesel Electric tower car in India (TMS Mandideep). Developed Data Loggers from (RSD Pithampur).

2002
Loco Transformer

Supplied loco Transformer - T1 Kanjur. Second to develop Propulsion System of 1400 HHP DEMU (TMS-Mandideep).

2005
BLDC Carriage Fan

First to develop BLDC Carriage Fan in India (RSD Pithampur). Supplied first 415 kW 3 Ph Traction motor, 3588 kW, Traction Alternators for 4500 HP Diesel Locomotive (TMS-Mandideep).

2007
Traction Motor C1001TM

Second to supply Traction motor type C1001TM in India 284 kW, for 3300 HP Diesel Locomotive (TMS-Mandideep). Supplied loco Transformer T3 Mandideep.

2008
Traction Motor C1005TM

Second to supply Traction motor type C1005TM in India 205kw, for 25kv AC-EMU (TMS-Mandideep).

2010
Acquisition

Acquired NELCO business Unit of Traction Electronics Drives and SCADA , Tie-up with CAF P&A Spain for IGBT Power Convertor.

2011
New Manufacturing Facility

Traction Electronics Plant Established 2011 at Mandideep.

2012
IGBT Auxiliary Convertor

IGBT Auxiliary Convertor Developed (Traction Electronics (TE) Mandideep).

2013
IGBT Power Convertor

IGBT Power Convertor Prototype developed (Traction Electronics (TE) Mandideep).

2015
7775 kVA Transformer

Second in India Supplied 7775 kVA Transformer T3 Mandideep.

2016
Prototype Approval

Second to supply 1600 HHP DEMU Propulsion System Prototype Approval in India Traction Electronics (TE) Mandideep.

2017
Propulsion System of DETC

First in India to develop Propulsion System of DETC Underslung Prototype Approval and started first Supplies (TMS). TCN VCU and Propulsion System developed Traction Electronics (TE) Mandideep. First in India Developed Universal BLDC Carriage Fan (RSD Pithampur).

2018
3 More Firsts.

First in India developed Steel Tank 6531 kVA Transformer T3, Mandideep. First Loco Panel supplied from Railway Signaling division (RSD). First in India to developed Propulsion System SPIC Self Propelled Inspection Car Started First Supplies form Traction Machines and system (TMS).

2020
Panels for LHB EOG Non –AC Coaches

This product set of panels for LHB EOG Non –AC Coaches is designed as per the specification no: EDTS 355 suitable for 3 phase, 750 volts, 50 Hz train line system. It consist of three panels namely High voltage cubicle, Low voltage cubicle & Regulated battery charger.
