CG commenced manufacturing of condenser bushing at Nasik in 1986-87.In 2009, the condenser bushing manufacturing unit for 72.5kV was transferred to Aurangabad.

OIP Bushings (56kV to 800kV)

    • Shatterproof epoxy resin cast oil end insulator
    • Partial discharge free performance at power frequency test voltage when tested on turret size tanks
    • Large size oil indicator with float for better visibility
    • Dielectric loss less than 0.005
    • Provision for oil sampling at mounting flange level for health monitoring

    Manufacturing

    The condenser cores are completely dried and impregnated in vacuum drying chambers in various stages such as air heating, rough vacuum, and fine vacuum. After the drying cycle is concluded, the oil impregnation is carried out at a predetermined rate of flow of oil inlet which is in relation with the capillary rise of the paper insulation.
