CG provides complete state-of-the-art propulsion system & control equipment’s for Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU / EMU). The traction equipment’s are based on high voltage IGBT technology.

    • IGBT based Propulsion Converter - 2 Line Converters, 2 Inverters, bogie control
    • Auxiliary Converter - 150 kVA, 415 Vac (3ph),  125 Vdc
    • 3 phase AC Traction Motor - 246 kW continuous, self-ventilated, axle hung, nose suspended, gear box
    • Pantograph - 25 kV, 50 Hz, 400 A
    • Vacuum Circuit Breaker - 25 kV, 1000 A
    • Traction Transformer - 1 Primary (25 kV, 1288 kVA), 2 Secondary (855 V, 550 kW)
    • Train Control & Management System
    • Communication interface for complete train consist using WTB, MVB, CAN, Ethernet interface
    • Passenger Information & Communication System
    • Acceleration 0-40 kmph (0.54 m/s2), Normal braking deceleration (110 kmph to standstill) – 0.8 m/s2)
